Project Title
Pakistan Life Savers Program
Description
Cardiac arrest and excessive bleeding are two of the most prevalent causes of deaths in Pakistan. The Pakistan Life Savers Program (PLSP) is a youth empowerment project that aims to train ten million Pakistani citizens and help them acquire basic life-saving skills of CPR and bleeding control, so they can assist in emergencies that happen in front of them. However, for emergency situations that occur elsewhere, lifesavers have no knowledge of the injury/trauma or its location. Currently, the PLSP does not have any method of bridging the gap between those who need first aid response and the lifesavers nearby. Therefore, this project aims to mobilize lifesavers to an emergency location in their neighborhood using a mobile application. The app will serve as a communication channel between help-seekers and PLSP-lifesavers.
